Changing Lives, Changing the World

My best friend’s mom was diagnosed with cancer recently. Her husband took her out to get her mind off things, but a wave of reality hit her while she was in the restroom. She broke down in the restroom in despair and fear due to the cancer. She turned around to another lady washing her hands and literally grabbed her and asked, "Are you a Christian?" and the lady said "Yes, I am." My friend’s mom asked her if she could pray for her because she had just been diagnosed with cancer and the lady grabbed her, embraced her, and passionately prayed for my friend’s mom. She spoke life into my friend’s mom and gave her hope. And at the end of the prayer my friend’s mom asked her what church did she go to and she said "I go to Life Changers." and my friend’s mom said this to me, "I don't know how God is going to heal me, or how he is going to write my story, all I know is that around every corner, every trial, God has something, or someone waiting for me and He's going to guide me through this." You see Pastor Dickow, Life Changers and the way God uses you is more than a Sunday ritual. It's practice. It's practice for the real world. This world needs us. And around every corner that someone needs someone, there we will be.

100 fold Harvest!

I’ve been intending to send this testimony for quite some time. The church was taking up an offering to buy coats for children who didn't have one for the winter. The offering was for $25 to help buy a coat. I was saving up some money to buy a coat of my own, but decided to sow that $25 into the life of a child. Two weeks later, my boss gave me a bonus of $2500! AND, two weeks after that, I received a new coat for Christmas! It was certainly given back to me, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over!

HEALING COMES THROUGH COMMUNION

After going to the doctor a few weeks ago with what I thought were insect bites on my face, I instead was diagnosed with a case of the shingles. At the time I saw the doctor I didn't have any pain so I didn't request a pain killer prescription. Later that evening sharp stabbing pains began in my left ear and along my left jawline. The pain was so intense it was impossible to sleep, yet the shingles made me so tired I could hardly move. In the morning, it took all my strength to get my Bible and my notes from the last Communion Sunday, along with a cracker and grape juice. After reading through my notes and taking communion, I took a 4 hour nap. When I woke up the pain was gone and never did return! Also, my husband who had never had the chicken pox as a child was unknowingly exposed to the virus because of my case of the shingles. Praise God he has remained healthy with no sign of the chicken pox. God is so good! Pastor Dickow, thank you for your teaching. I never would have taken communion at home before it. God Bless you, your family and your ministry!
